I just had to read that funny little Logo on the lower Right... "Anti-Zionist Front" or whatever... To make me get my Positions. If there hadn't been this Thing, I would have thought it's just one more Anti-Bush-Thing... because eesa is right, of course. But with this Logo this haunted my Brain:
Anti-Zionist -> Anti-Semitist -> Racist -> NOT GOOD.
Nothing to do with complaining... it's just wrong.

Ich musste nur dieses lustige kleine Logo unten rechts lesen... "Anti-Zionistische Front" oder wasauchimmer... um meine Positionen zu beziehen. Wäre dieses Ding da nicht gewesen hätte ich gedacht, das wäre nur ein weiteres Anti-Bush-Ding... denn eesa hat natürlich Recht. Aber mit diesem Logo spukte dies in meinem Gehirn:
Anti-Zionistisch -> Anti-Semitisch -> Rassistisch -> NICHT GUT.
Das hat nichts mit jammern zu tun... es ist einfach falsch.

i understand your point of view because you're not involved in this stuff.

i don't like the deviation you mentioned that much, too - i told it once and i didn't change my attitude towards it -, but i think, political artwork used as propaganda always has to be exaggerated. and i'm sure this one wasn't thought to instigate people against the jews, but to make them think about the long-term suffering of the palestinian people.

i know ~eesa is a good guy with a good heart. you can't await a palestinian or muslim to be neutral in this case. instead of mourning, you could have answered the question: 'what is the difference?' there are differences. name them, but please stop complaining about things out of your outstanding, kind of 'arrogant' (because judging) point of view.

a point of view, for which another term was created by the great edward said: orientalism.

ich weiß, dass ~eesa ein guter mensch mit einem guten herzen ist. du kannst von einem palästinenser oder muslim nicht erwarten, dass er in dieser sache neutral bleibt. statt herumzujammern, hättest du auch einfach die frage beantworten können: 'wo liegt der unterschied?' und es gibt ja genügend unterschiede. benenne sie, aber höre bitte auf, dich über dinge zu beschweren aus der sicht eines 'arroganten', weil richtenden außenstehenden.

aus jener sicht, für die der große edward said einen weiteren terminus gefunden hat: orientalismus.
